Has anyone stayed at Trump in Las Vegas that can give me a mini review? There is only one review and it is old. Thinking about staying there for a weekend that would allow me to remain off of the strip, but still have uber access to the strip for someone else in my travel party.

It's awesome.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom with my wife and 17 year old son. We all loved it.

I like it better than Elara. The mall is across the street and its walking distance to nicer casinos.

I prefer it over Elara which seems to get all the run here.

Thanks, Buzz. You and I tend to like the same resorts, so I'll go ahead and book it.

Hi Presley,
Did you book thru RCI? Or via hgvc?
I own an affiliate week and have thought about joining HGVC, but if I can just use RCI it saves me having other fees. I did stay at the flamingo once and really enjoyed it.

Thanks,

Paul

Booking directly through HGVC. The point cost is high. It's over 3,000 points for a weekend stay. I could stay at any of the other properties for less, but I want to stay at Trump this time.

OK, people let's not allow this to get political or the mods will shut the thread down.

I think I booked mine with Open Season because the point values were higher than other places.

Hilarious. Actually, though, I've wondered whether the polarizing nature of Donald Trump's politics play into guests' decisions when they're selecting which Vegas property to book. I see Trump is pretty much always available for an Open Season bookin--in every size unit-- even when Elara, Strip, Flamingo and Paradise have less availability. But upon further reflection, maybe that's more related to the higher point value requirements than any objection to Trump...

It's always had good availability even before he decided to become a candidate.

It doesn't have a "super pool" and isn't on the strip. I really enjoyed it for those very reasons.

Those are my goals, too. Looking for quiet and ease of getting to and from my resort. Plus, I have decided that I am a now a timeshare snob and I want the most luxurious I can get when I have that choice. :)

Meanwhile, my daughter asked why I wanted to stay at Trump's place. I explained I am staying at a Hilton on points, not staying at Trump for the sake of Trump. I guess I should say, "I am staying at the Hilton at Trump." Doesn't HGVC only have a couple floors there?

I'm not sure how much of it is HGVC.

I brought home a souvenir. A shower cap that says Trump on it. I figure with his hairdo, that has to be the world's most powerful shower cap.

The really nice mall is just across the street and it's a short walk to Palazzo.

We stayed there last summer (1 bedroom) that we got during open season. We loved it and are booking again this summer. Point rates are slightly high, but if you can get it on Open Season it is very reasonable.

The room was huge and very well appointed. The pool is not giant (as mentioned in a previous post) but it was decent and not over crowded when we were there (labor day weekend). The fact that there is no casino was a huge plus for us.

I stayed there twice 2 BR, OS. Loved it and will recommend anytime.

I stayed there once. Overall the room was nice and the pool was very nice but there were 3 big problems. The washing machine is a combined washer/dryer in one machine and the dryer is a condensation dryer (no vent). Unfortunately the dryer function didn't work, so we ended up with 2 large trash bags of wet clothes to cart back home to California. We had to hand wring them out in the bathtub. The second issue was a vent closure in the room was stuck open and couldn't be fixed so all the freight train noise was heard throughout the night each of the three nights we were there. The last issue was that there were scant dishes and utensils in our 1 bedroom unit and at the end were told that we needed to call housekeeping to request a full set be brought up to the room due to previous theft issues. Due to our issues, they credited the one meal that we had charged to our room $34 as compensation. So although the room was nice, these other issues will prevent me from returning anytime soon.
