Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying more gadgets and accessories than clothing - well, not really, but it seems like a lot...

laptop and accessories including jump drives, charges, power supplies...
cell phone and accessories
wireless router

I'm sure I'll be adding more to this list as I think about it

I'm curious about which wireless router you use. I've been thinking about getting a travel router, but the reviews of most are very bad. It would be so much nicer to sit on the balcony and read email, etc. than to have to sit at the kitchen counter to do it.

i was recently in michigan and stopped into the MEIJER supermarket. while there i purchased some wine and was given a 6 pocket wine carrier. well, now i use these handy little tote for my travel electronics. i take my GPS AND CHARGER, CAMERA AND CHARGER, CELL PHONE CHARGER, DVD CHARGER, AND HEADPHONES FOR MY DVD. each of these items go into it's own little pocket in the tote and the tote goes into my carry on. i am now able to find whatever i am looking for in an instant. i also got 4 pocket wine tote at MEIJER and in that i pack my beach stuff.glasses, suntan lotions, purse, cell phone etc. and that tote goes right into my beach bag. makes everything really easy to locate instead of digging thru the beach bag looking for things. these totes are also good for packing sandels flipflops flats and low heeled shoes and just putting into my luggage. as you can see i just love these "wine" totes and can find many uses for them.

One of the best things I did when I upgraded my cellphone was to pickup a Palm Treo. It is my swiss army knife of devices. Coupled with the all you can eat data plan from Verizon Wireless, I have a cable which plugs into the USB port on my laptop and wha-la...I have broadband internet access anywhere I have Verizon service...which is just about anywhere.

The treo doubles as a camera and cam-corder, can send and receive e-mail has the calendar and a host of utilities which run on a Palm PDA, as well as Google Maps. It can double as an IPOD too, but I don't want to run down the battery using it for that. In addition to the treo I take my GPS unit for driving about and if I'm going to be gone more than a couple of days I take my laptop along. Also an Ipod shuffle (the little postage stamp size unit) and I'm set.
