Travel with dive fins?

We don't like to check luggage when we travel (my wife and I both have status with airline, so we don't pay to check our bags, we just don't like the extra time at the airport). Our challenge is our dive fins. They are long and take up a lot of luggage space. Does anyone ship their fins or get them to the resort in another fashion?
The whole family has two bags to carry on, so adding a bag for fins would be a LAST resort.

Thanks

They are so cheap to rent, we don't bring them - we just rent on location.

Rent. Bring your own boots.
I'm guessing you are renting your BCDs and weights and Instruments and regulators.

I'm impressed you get wet suits etc in carry on.

It was on our last trip to at tho as that we decided to go carry on. Place has a washer/dryer, so we don't need to pack lots of clothes.
