Kayak.com and hotels.com are both great places to search for rooms.

I noticed you're a Canadian like I am so you can try travelocity.ca or expedia.ca.

If you are a Costco member you can try costco.com. The Canadian site does not have a travel section but Canadians can still book on costco.com.

For hotels we use www.hotels.com or www.booking.com

If I don't have my heart set on a particular hotel, then I like priceline.com a lot. I check biddingfortravel.com and betterbidding.com to see which hotels people have been getting and for how much. Use the free rebids by adding areas that don't have the star level you want.

The last time I needed a specific hotel, travelocity.com had the best deal with a 15% off coupon they seem to periodically offer via e-mail.

Trivago.com has a comparison of rates, chooses the best one and refunds any difference if the price on the room drops before you go.

Thanks everyone, I just booked Hyatt Place in Florence Ky for the first leg of trip to Florida. Booked on Priceline. Alton
