I recall a "trolley" that ran past the resort to a number of locations. But Disney is not very shuttle friendly and the Space Center is a drive. However, if you use Uber or such for the parks, the parking fee you don't pay might be about as much as the ride, though I'm not sure if WDW charges taxis to enter the lots. Sea World and Universal are pretty much on city streets. Disney is buried deep on its own property. You can walk into Epcot if the taxi drops you at an Epcot resort (Boardwalk, Beach Club, etc.) It's a longer walk into Studios. Magic Kingdom resorts have the monorail and Epcot resorts have the boats. I don't believe they are reserved for guests as are busses as resorts have their own entertainment venues we use when visiting WDW and staying off site. The only real "no,no" I know of is trying to park at the hotel lots before visiting the parks. Animal Kingdom isn't near anything.
