Going to Cancun in Jan.- staying at the Marriott. Does anyone have the name of a company that does a transfers? What is the cost of a cab?
Any good suggestions on restaurants and things to do while in Cancun?

I have always had good experiences with USA Transfers. Always on time. If you are traveling as a couple, the cab may be a viable option. But, I always preferred USA.

We have been very pleased with USA Transfers.

Do know that you cannot take a taxi from the airport. Taxi union does not allow taking fares from the airport, only to deliver them to the airport.

Don't be confused by misleading transfer services that use the word "taxi" in their company name. They are transfer services like any other. ;)

They always say taxi cabs can not negotiate because prices are set. I've actually had luck negotiating, you just have to try and make an offer.

Ditto on USA Transfers. Used them and they are reliable.

Canada Transfers?

Canada transfers is, if anything, just a touch better than USA transfers. Their vehicles seem newer and with more comfortable seating, and...for the price of $1 each...they will have a beer or soda awaiting you. And the good news for Canadians is that (last I knew) they accept Canadian dollars on a par with US $.
