[I'm looking for information on a] a timeshare transfer company to handle the escrow and title trensfer. I would like to know what experience members have had with the companies mentioned on the TUG website or other companies. Also, any information on Westin Kierland resale prices would be helpful. Thank you

To see the bottom line for WKV resales, look at the completed auctions on ebay. (Not just the list prices, but the completed auctions.)

You might just want to use an attorney in the state the Resort is in that handles timeshare closings.

Why? Arizona does not require you to use an attorney. Why pay extra?

Primarily because they would want it done right. Getting it right is important for the purchaser regardless of what state law requires. I have way too many deeds recorded in North Carolina by these jackleg timeshare closing companies from other states that are not even valid to pass title, in addition to other errors. As far as I know, there is only one multi-state timeshare closing company that uses properly qualified people in the state where the timeshare is located to draft deeds.

Also paying ''extra'' is an assumption that is often wrong. I remember a thread on TUG for example where someone asked for a closer for HHI, and among the suggestions from Tuggers were a couple of local attorneys who did timeshare closings whose fees were comparable to the jackleg multi-state closing companies. Why use a jackleg when you can get a qualified professional for the same price? I would also point out that the one multi-state timeshare closing company that does work through qualified local professionals charges about the same price as those who use unqualified out of state jacklegs.
