If you ever have the misfortune to see a train wreck live, they have always appeared to happen in slow motion to me.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm thinking about losing my job while it's in progress if I'm involved, or if it's from being so familiar with the way things should be happening that when they go wrong I see every little twist and turn as it happens.
