I have both II and RCI but have only exchanged into II (and only once). I deposited a 2016 week (studio) and received an AC. I have already used my AC and was surprised that I had more exchange options on my AC than my actual unit...I figured that I would show the studios the AC had for exchange on my actual unit exchange as well.

Do you think I would have more trading power in RCI...I have never deposited there.
 
Unfortunately, timeshares in Mexico usually have lower trading power, because Mexico is overbuilt with timeshares, and there is more suppy than demand.

If you can deposit a high season week like Christmas/New Years/Easter, it will have better trading power.
 
Many Thanks! I will do Easter next time...that is a possibility.
 
If you are not seeing what you want now, then your best option is to
1) set up an ongoing search for the resort/week you want
2) as it gets closer to flexchange, (59 days before check-in date), your unit will be able to exchange into the vast majority of resorts which are available.

No, you will not have more trade power in RCI.

Patience and persistence are required.
