How much is it to change a fixed week in newport long wharf to points? is there a web site that can give me this info? it is worth it to change a fixed traditional timeshare to flex points? I am thinking of buying a timeshare in newport and then changing it to points. I love newport rhode island and I just want to get something there! But I would love the power of points! help!

You either need to buy point from them and add a conversion, or pay 2395 for 1st week conversion and 995 for 2nd week conversion upto 4 weeks.

Not necessary worth it.

Unless you find a primetime week, which probably will not very likely.

If you don't plan to go there during summer, buy any points, you can get there at 10 month. Or very likely get RCI exchange.

If you currently own a week, I would keep that week and just purchase a Wyndham RESALE points package which you can get REALLY cheap right now.

If you currently don't own a week there, just purchase a RESALE Wyndham points contract. That resort isn't difficult to book within Wyndham.
