Trade difficult?

Is a trade in the Royal Resorts in Cancun REALLY that difficult with II?
I have been trying for over 7 months with nothing.
 
What dates?

I see the Royals all the time with my North Carolina summer weeks, but perhaps you are looking for specific dates that aren't easy to get. :shrug:
 
I asked for weeks, 5, 6 , 7, 8 at RM<RC OR RI. Just talked with II again and she said..NOTHING available.
 
Those weeks are typically very tough to get anywhere in the caribbean/Cancun, especially high quality resorts. What are you using for the request?
 
We own at that time and always go. Using a week 24 at RM to trade back in and so far no luck. I am wondering if more people are trying to rent than trade this year with the prices of air fares.
 
I think the trade will eventually come through.
 
Just hang in there, I too believe you can get those dates.
 
Thanks, I needed some reasurrance. I would think it would come through and hopefully for the week we need. With all the rentals out there I am hopeful.
 
Do you need a 2 bedroom or will a 1 bedroom do? What has worked for me (but in lower demand weeks) is to accept a 1 bedroom and and make my travel arrangements. Then in the flex change period I see 2 bedrooms available that I can exchange for instead. Of course this requires a unit to search with and also losing your initial exchange fee. The same approach worked for a Hawaii summer exchange.
 
I need a 2 bedroom so this will not work for me. I have already made the air reservations and if nothing come through then I will have to rent a unit.
There are LOT for rent and this is why I can't understand some of them not being deposited. :shrug:
