I just received an email from Global Airport Parking to say a reservation I have had to park at the Hotel Indigo covered parking for a week in February has been canceled. Hotel Indigo supposedly did not want Global to sell spots after Dec. However, throughout January Global was still selling spots. Now many places are closed out - especially the covered parking. I reserved this week for $53 in covered parking. It was an excellent deal. Now they want me to switch to the Days Hotel and Conference Center in the open-air parking lot. It is a mile farther out and there are reports the shuttle is not reliable. It certainly would not be as secure as a garage and as easy to get out if it were to snow over the week. (Granted, we have not had much snow yet up in these here parts. :) )

Is anyone familiar with the Days Hotel on Belfield Road, and would the parking be safe there? Is here another option in the price range? I see YYZ has a value garage for $90 base price. Don't know how much the taxes and charges would increase the base price. I cannot believe Global Parking could do this and only offer an inferior option for the same price?!

Thanks for your help.

It has been years but my recollection is that I stayed the night before my flight at the Carling Inn (? old memory) and got free parking for my entire trip.

parking at YYZ

Hi Travel Planner.
We used to park in the long term parking at YYZ- very close to the terminal but it was so expensive...$160?
We discovered the Value parking lot last year and love it!!
The outdoor Value Lot is $70/wk. It has been closed for some time and they were offering the covered value lot for the same price..usually $90/wk. It looks like it may be open now but wasn't in early Jan.

It is a short walk from either that gets you on a little shuttle train that takes you to your terminal.
Here's why we like it so much:
-if you have a group with plenty of luggage you can drop them off at the door then go park. There are plenty of carts people have left at the door.
-cost less
-if flying Westjet the shuttle doors open right to the counters.

I know there are park and fly options but my husband would not dream of having to wait for a shuttle to drive off property:)
