Tornadoes in Sarasota [merged]

Just checked out tornado damage on Siesta Key. Luckily, all the timeshare properties I know of had very little damage. One condo, Excelsior, had been deemed unsafe and no one can inhabit.
Debris all over in gulf and intra coastal near Crystal Sands. This is just to the north of the Stickney Point bridge.

Tornadoes in Sarasota

Hi Tuggers,
There were 3 tornadoes in the Sarasota, Siesta Key area of Florida early this morning. From what I have seen on News reports large structural damage but no major fatalities? Anyone staying in the area ? Hope all are safe and could you report how the timeshares in Siesta Key were affected? I own a week at Calini Beach Resort called them and got voice mail.

two grandparents were killed in mobile home park just north of us in srq county in manatee county.. north east manatee. siesta had property damage but no reported injuries.

limited damages but some had significant. cell phones blaring emergency alerts at 3:30am and beyond

the same tornado in the above tragedy started on Siesta Key and offshore

Naples

It was even a little scary here in Naples FL, my phone alert went off at 5:15am with a tornado warning. We did get to an interior hallway, winds at the Naples airport down the road clocked 85MPH. Luckily we only lost a lani screen but there were quite a few trees down in the neighborhood. I was supposed to run the Naples Half Marathon this morning but it was cancelled. Downtown Naples got hit hard with flooding and trees down. Certainly has been a strange winter here for sure!!

We are here at our mobile home park just outside of Sebring, about an hour east of Sarasota. Friday, we had tornado warnings, and torrential rains. Last night the wind and rain started around 11:00 p.m., with very high winds. No damage here, thank heavens!
Our 18 hole golf course is closed today, due to flooding on several holes. Lots of small branches down all over the park, but no damage.

grandmother was a hero for her grandchildren

I heard an update to last nights tragedy in manatee county. Evidently, the grandmother (age 51) helped pull the kids from the wreckage and into safety. She succumbed to a heart attack afterwards.
