Top things to do in Quebec City, Canada

IMG_5384.jpg

I loved eating lunch at a sidewalk café on the cobblestone streets of the old city area. Montmorency falls was probably my favorite thing overall, though.

I’ve stayed at Frontenac twice and wouldn’t go back. You can go in and have a drink and tour the place.

It’s overpriced and the rooms are broom closets. The last time we got an Air BnB and it was great. It was walking distance to the Citadel in the old city. It made us feel like we were living there.

We also rented a car and hiked the falls and then drove a lap of the whole island.

One of our favorite events in Quebec was the amazing fireworks festival. When we went more than 10 years ago, it took place with the Montmorency waterfalls as the backdrop. We happened to be there the night they had displays from several countries as well as Canada, and it was just fabulous. Now the fireworks displays are launched from a platform in the river in the middle of the city, which should be nice too. It takes place multiple nights in late July and August.
