Top Teams to Watch Out for in the 2025 NCAA Men's Tournament

The Top Four #1seeds have all survived the sweet sixteen games.

The SEC have dominated football in the past few years. Now they are dominating basketball.

What have happen to ACC Basketball?

I lay the blame on the college portal transfer system. The college team with the most money, television exposure, and other benefits on the side can attract the best galidators (sorry wrong word college athletes) to play one or two years of basketball, football or baseball. IMHO.

I’m in a quandary. Should I want to see an all Alabama final? I’d much rather lose in the quarter or semi-finals than lose to auburn in the championship game. They would never shut up! However, I live in Florida now and rarely see, and even more rarely, talk to an auburn fan, so other than the disappointment during and immediately following the game, would it be that bad? Yes, it would!

It also would be great to make consecutive Final Fours with a victory over Duke! I could handle a loss to Duke much better than one to Tennessee or auburn. I’ve been a basketball fan all my life and I never thought Alabama would actually get to one, much less back to back, Final Fours. I love what Nate Oates has brought to this program and that would be the next step. And, to actually win a national championship? We would probably be the underdog against most of the remaining teams. But, that one shining moment no longer seems an impossible feat. Roll Tide!

That Florida team are playing some good defense and offense right now.

Men's Sweet 16 winners, losers: All-SEC Final Four remains on table

Michigan State will do it's best to prevent an all-Alabama matchup
The games have all been great to watch
There is some real talent out on the hardwood from every team

Agree. I like Izzo and I like Duke, and I like Florida. So, I'd be okay with any of them if Bama can't take it.

Ouch! 65 points? That was hard to watch. Congrats to Duke!

Just to be clear, I’m not one of these Alabama fans. While some referees are better than others, and I like closely called games better than games that resemble ice hockey, I’ve never thought referees, and certainly not announcers, were the reason we lost. In fact, I would argue they love Alabama because we have such a large and loyal fanbase that will bring big ratings numbers.

Also, Charles Barkley, an auburn legend, has always been hugely complimentary of both our football and since Nate Oates, basketball programs. He love Saban and Oates and speaks highly of Alabama on local and national outlets.

Unfortunately, Alabama has a large, loud, bunch of whiners who always want to blame anyone but the team for losses. I’m not one of them!

In the 2nd half, I thought Texas Tech had Florida's number and the Gators were going down in flames. I was stunned to see them pull it out. There were some fine games this weekend.

"a group of high net worth donors who have chosen to operate in a way that makes them unique in the braggadocious world of college sports—by conducting their business from the shadows. People involved with the operation say the group’s silence is intentional. They say their goal is to give coach Jon Scheyer the resources to compete, to support his vision and never be a distraction from the ultimate goal of winning national titles.

"Boosters are no longer limited to funding a new practice facility or chipping in for the coaching staff to get a raise. Now they can pay the players. Which makes Duke’s backers an outlier. In taking a more secretive approach, they have chosen to operate in total silence even though what they’re doing is legal

Did the men in Zebra stripes shirts changes the outcome of the Duke and Houston game. That is the question.

Houston Vs Duke
Two great teams
Both were #1 seeds in their region
The last 2 minutes were magic for Houston
The last 2 minutes were a nightmare for Duke
As they say
It is why they play the game
Great basketball for people with no favorite in the game

Yes, I believe it was a bad call. No, I don't believe it was fixed. I believe the review rules in college basketball are ruining the game. What can be reviewed and can't be reviewed makes no sense. While the referees couldn't review the Cooper Flagg foul call to see if it was wrong, they could have reviewed a 3 point shot immediately or at the next break in action and taken a point away if they deemed their initial call was wrong? Why? What is the difference? If the call was wrong, it was wrong. If one wrong call is correctable, all wrong calls should be correctable. Or, better yet, the NCAA should realize that referees are human, all humans are fallible and rather than elongating the last few minutes of games until they are almost unwatchable, accept the mistakes and let us enjoy the games! Instead, they are compounding the mistake the player made (foul, out of bounds, whatever) by arbitrarily letting some calls stand but correcting others. It is beyond ridiculous at this point.
