We checked in on Tuesday and have had to call for a plunger and someone to come up and re-set the code on the safe. Should we tip these guys when they come up to bail us out?

Well...we tip a lot but under these circumstances I think it is resorts problem, so unless you feel generous or unless the person was extra kind I might have to really comtemplate a tip for that.......JMHO.

Depends...if I were in Mazatlan, yes. In California, no. Why? The economic realities of the situation for one. Also, in Mazatlan you probably would have gotten your service sooner, believe it or not.

Absolutely. The maintenance people probably aren't that well paid. In Mexico we always give them the equivalent of a few $.

Mexico, Caribbean, yes, elsewhere no.

Cheers
