Has anyone used TimeshareTransfer (www.timesharetransfer.com)? I am buying a property and plan to use them to hold my money in escrow until the closing is finished.

They have a good rating by the BBB, but I would like to hear other opinions if anyone has them. Thanks.

I have used them once.Iwas kept informed throughout the closing by email communication(i.e.ROFR letter, estoppel letter from resort etc).Quite happy w/them.

I also used them for one purchase, and was quite happy with them. They were responsive, timely, and kept me informed at every step.

I had also put in a question to this board, and found that they are well respected on TUG.

I used them on a Sheraton resale transaction a few months ago. The entire process took two months (from close of eBay auction to Starwood enrolling me). Joyce and her staff did what they were supposed to do and did it efficiently.

Count me as another happy Timeshare Transfer customer

I have used them a couple of times for the sale of timeshares and have been very happy each time with the communication and turnaround times.

My $0.02 worth...

I have used Timeshare Transfer 6-8 times for closing purchases and sales over about the past 5 years. I have been consistently satisfied with them. If all you're having them do is hold escrow funds, there really isn't much to do incorrectly. ;)

P.S. Personally, I believe a BBB rating (and the BBB itself, for that matter) to be nearly irrelevant and essentially meaningless.

They are probably fine for just escrow, but I would see if they are licensed and bonded. For escrow purposes that would be in the state where the money will be.

If they are responsible for any legal documents, ask for name of who will prepare the documents, and check with the State Bar of the state where the timeshare is located to see if they are licensed to prepare such documents. In many states, you can do that online. If the person who is to prepare the deed is not licensed in the state where the timeshare is located, then there is a signifiacant risk of having documents prepared improperly, sometimes is a way that you might notice and sometimes in a way that only a professional would notice.

I am in the middle (I hope) of a transaction with them. We started about three weeks ago and I just got the deeds today (copied from my previous deed). My vote is still out however, they ignored one of my requests which I had to remind them about. Additionally, for a company that seems to want to conduct their business on the internet; they mailed documents to me although I would have gladly had them sent as email attachments and told them so. Let's see how the other half goes before I comment further. :wall:

Never Had a Problem and have been far better than other I've used

I've used Timeshare Transfer over 20 times and various other companies over 10 times all dealing with Royal Resorts. Everything has always gone smooth and I like that you can just use them for Escrow services or have them do all the documents. They have out performed the other 5-6 companies I've used.

I wouldn't use anybody else unless I was forced to!

We've used them in the past and everything went well. They were much faster and better than Timeshare closing services or whatever it is called.

Used them once and had no problem. Not the fastest but not the slowest either.

They are the best

Timeshare Transfer has been in business for over 7 years and enjoys the best of reputations.

I have personally used them as buyer or seller on hundreds of transactions and I will only use someone else if forced to by a seller. When that happens I usually end up with a whole lot of wasted time following up. If a buyer insists on someone else I won't do the deal......time is too valuable to babysit some other company.

btw I do not have any financial interest in them. they are privately owned.

I just feel they among the best in the business. If an error is made they correct it.

Tom:)
