Get you out of a timeshare ?

For big bux ?

Could be 1 of those timeshare "exit" hornswoggles & timeshare "cancellation" bamboozles that advertise on the radio.

I would not touch'm with a 10-foot pole.

They don't charge any upfront fees. I believe they find buyers for your timeshare

They may say that but bottomline, they will ask for money. Maybe they will call it closing costs, maybe they will say they have a buyer, but all you need to do is pay $$$ to get the process going. No honest company runs like that. Also, if they called you, they are going to charge you. They don't do that for free.

If you have a good timeshare, you can give it away for nothing.

You already gave money to a scam exit company to try to exit yourself from Sapphire, which didn't work. Don't hire any other third party exit companies.

1. Don't bother asking about the company name. They change their names constantly as they move from victim to victim.
2. No one (but a scammer) contacts you out of the blue about your timeshare.
3. They will charge an upfront fee.'
4. Their contract will likely say they will "market" your timeshare. This means they put an ad on a lousy website no one will ever see, and they will pretend it is worth lots o' bucks. Therefore it will not sell. But they don't care, because they have your money up front.

This is John Kushman, co-owner of both Timeshare Specialists and Resort Closings.

We have a handful of ways that we help timeshare owners. Our most popular program is our guaranteed transfer program. For a fee, paid at closing, we will find a new owner for your timeshare. At closing, when the deed or transfer documents are sent to the owner for signature and notary, is when we charge the program fee, which is typically calculated as closing costs plus a commission plus the resort transfer fee. The guarantee is to get the timeshare out of the owners name before the next maintenance fees are due. We have a long list of resorts we will not offer this program for because I can't guarantee the finding of a new owner before the next maintenance fees are due.

We also do a traditional listing program for owners where we take a commission from the proceeds of the sale.

I have also started offering a listing plus release program. Basically the timeshare owner agrees to pay the closing costs and commission in the event I am able to find a new owner for their timeshare. I also include a release program where if I am able to negotiate with the resort to deed the ownership back, the owner agrees to pay a fee.

I also will help owners rent their timeshares if they want. Similar to the listing program where I charge a fee when I am able to rent the week for the owner.

We do not charge any upfront fees.
We do not contact people out of the blue. We do not buy lists of timeshare owners and mail them postcards. We advertise online and in select radio markets.
We have not changed our name. A previous company of mine, J & J Timeshare is now an assumed business name of Timeshare Specialists.
We started and run the free Timeshare Scam Hotline, which helps potential victims of scammers claiming to have buyers for their timeshare. www.TimeshareScamHotline.com

We list our clients timeshares for sale on Redweek, Tug, eBay, MyResortNetwork, BuyAndSellTimeshares.com, Craigslist.

We do not hire attorneys to get timeshare owners out of their contracts.

Our programs are not for everyone. We are a one stop shop for individuals that don't want to deal with their timeshare themselves. Just like I don't want to fix the carburetor in my old Ford Bronco, even though I could figure out how to do it myself, I would rather pay a professional for their time and expertise knowing that it will be completed correctly.

Thanks for the clarification and your honesty.

However, this just proves the point that many here on TUG say when someone asks about such-and-such timeshare relief/exit/cancel company. Even if the company is legitimate, legally registered, and accomplishes what you pay it to do, the company is going to charge you thousands of dollars to do something you can do yourself for a lot less money.

That is pretty much our "pitch" to timeshare owners that contact us. Our clients are those who see the value in paying someone else to do it for them.

Do you use viking ships?

No, I don't use the viking ship model. I have a fairly expansive do not accept list. If I can't find a new owner who is willing to pay the maintenance fees then I do not offer our services on that ownership/resort. I will give the owner steps on how to contact the resort themselves, or offer to contact them on their behalf, to negotiate a deedback or relinquishment.

We take the time to explain all of the options an owner has when we can't help them. The first thing we recommend is to contact their resort and speak to someone in contracts or title department. We do hear back on occasion saying that the resort eventually took the ownership back.

I dealt with John in multiple occasions where I bought my first timeshare in early 2000s. Great company to deal with.

@timesharepro thank you for explaining your company. Sorry that the number of bad companies out there make it hard for people to believe there is a good company. Your oil-change analogy was a good one.

Why does the link in your signature http://www.timesharesanswered.com/ go to a dead website. Although you post your listings on a multitude of third party website, why not also post them on your own?

Looks like I need to update my signature.

BuyAndSellTimeshares.com is my site, which right now is 90% my listings/inventory. We have a handful of individual owners who have posted their timeshares on BAST.COM, but for the most part it is my inventory. My IT guy is working on the revamp of the site, which will have a link to view just my inventory.
