Hello - I am an owner of a Vacation Villas II unit since 2003, now run by Festiva.
I am urgently trying to legitimize a timeshare brokerage company that I've been in contact with about possibly reselling this unit. The company - Investor Management Services - is in Denver Colorado, and is approved by the state's Better Business Bureau.
Has anyone EVER heard of this company, and if so, does anyone have any experience selling a timeshare through them?
I've spoken with reps of theirs now for about a year, covering two different deals in which they've offered to purchase my biennial unit at VV II for between $20 and $30k. Before I spoke with this firm I'd never heard of anyone selling a Timeshare for anything close top this - most cases I'd heard about had to pay to legally extract themselves. Currently, Investor Management Services has made me an "offer" and sent what appears to be a signed, legal offer of sale, for $23k. Does anyone have experience or succes stories to tell about a deal like this? Has the market actually grown or evolved such that we CAN actually sell Timeshares for a profit, rather than pay to get rid of them?
Now, aside from the ambiguity of the firm's name, I also have trouble with the fact the I've been able to track down exactly zero evidence of successful deals or clients related to this company, nothing at all that can verify any history of resale deals like this. It does not help that their website looks like something that easily could have been done by an 10th graphic design student.
So, any thoughts, experience, or things to share based on what you've read here? I'd be deeply indebted to anyone who had any information whatsoever about this kind of transaction, especially if it relates to the specifics of the companies involved; Investor Management Services [ link deleted - we don't want to promote scammers ] & Festiva Resorts Happy to also share the actual documentation / offer if someone has the expertise to assess them.
Thanks so much! Eric Spielvogel
