Resorts Owned
Massanutten, Wyndham, WorldMark, Vistana, Marriott Los Sueños, Vidanta, Flora Farms, HGVC Max, and some independents
It's about 2/3 of the way down under Wyndham Points These come through on TSN periodically and go quickly - free including transfer with whatever credits are on the account. I'd take it but don't need any more contracts.

Thanks - nice find.

Does 5,000 points annually get you much in terms of a stay? Approx. how many nights can you stay at a WM resort with 5K points in prime season?

Thank you! I guess the benefit of 5k would be low maintenance fees and access to cash deals. I am waiting for at least 10k as I need a hk token for my longer trip or ii ecchange.

Not much. You can find a credit chart with a Google search.

I still want to acquire at least 14,000, 24,000 or even 4,000 to get an extra HK fee each year because we have 46K points now. This is the only thing we use every year. We are staying in Yellowstone, two units, in July of 2025, and that ate up a bunch of points. We really love Dolphin's Cove and WorldMark Anaheim.

It does take time for these wm to transfer. I'm still waiting on Wyndham to send transfer paperwork. It's been about 8 weeks, lol. Any day now for the docs and then another 6 months. I don't understand why it takes this long. Maybe there is only one person located in a different country doing all of the transfers for Wyndham to save a few dollars.

I'm also curious how exchanges work. Does a person with 12K points vs. another person with 5K points have a time advantage to book before the 5K owner? In other words, do people with more points get the opportunity to book before owners with fewer points? I'm not familiar with how points work as we own floating weeks in red season.

Thanks

Nice find, and something I would have considered. I already bought 7,000 points last week.

What is the current rate of point renting? I see online 6 cents per point, but assume that's out of date.

In Worldmark everyone has the same Booking Windows no matter how many Points are owned.

Checkout www.wmowners.com/forum for Worldmark Accounts for Sale. I believe there is currently a 6K Account for free.

The difference is the wm memberships at tn are free. No transfer fee. Just sign your name. I have one in the hoper and a couple of my friends and online acquaintances do too.

The Transfer Fee has to be paid to Wyndham by somebody or they will not do the paperwork. Only Wyndham can do the paperwork to change the name on the Account.

The way Timeshare Nation works is that the "seller" covers all the transfer fees, etc., and the ownership of whatever it is goes to the "buyer" at no cost. Often it includes accrued usage. Timeshare Nation only facilitates the advertising of the ownerships and many of them are sourced from postcard companies and the like where the "seller" is just trying to get rid of the ownership. Some of the companies are the ones that take "trade in" ownerships for Mexican timeshares and the like. Bottom line is that the transfer fees, recording costs, etc., do have to be paid by someone but the someone that pays those is not the "buyer."

I've picked up several WorldMark contracts and a couple of mandatory Vistana weeks through Timeshare Nation. It can be a great deal if you are an educated consumer and understand which ownerships would fit well with your usage goals. I just posted this one here because tuggers are the more educated consumers in the timeshare world and I figured someone would be able to use this contract, particularly if it has credits in it - the ones I've picked up previously were fully loaded because the folks that are trying to get rid of them this way are typically not actually using them. YMMV, of course.

Awesome, I just saw a 10k one in there today and put a hold on it. As soon as someone shows interest it takes the add down. The worldmark contracts disappear really fast. Hopefully I get a pre 2006 one so I can book some of the Wyndham stuff too!

I’m kind of nervous ti take it in on but I think the clincher is that it trades in interval and rci so I can always exchange it out too

It doesn't work that way. If you buy resale, the grandfathering in of those pre-2006 accounts goes away.

The hold is not complete until you've signed the contract with TN and sent your ID's whoever completes that first gets the timeshare.

Bummer— is there anyway to rent Wyndham as a Worldmark owner? I guess I don’t care that much but just trying to clarify

Rent from a Wyndham owner or exchange via RCI. But if you want Wyndham, buy Wyndham. WM and Wyndham are 2 different systems. Don't buy one for access to the other.

Did you get the contract from TN?
I could have gotten it but am going to wait another year I realized I want at least 12k so I can use for places like Hawaii. I also bought a discovery package a few months ago from Club Wyndham Fiji that I need to use up first in Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. I don’t know if they will like me buying resale when I still have that package.

I’m not actually surprised. People’s needs change. I just picked up a Ritz-Carlton fractional for free - they didn’t want to pay fees anymore.
