Has anyone received a call from someone named Brian Miller with Timeshare Knowledge 101? We received a call from this gentleman regarding our Harborside Resort at Atlantis timeshare, and he asked if we had, in fact, listed it on Tugg. He is based out of Branson, Missouri, so that in and of itself raises a red flag due to all the timeshare scammers there. He told us that he works with an attorney through Marriott to get Harborside owners out for their contract. Considering that Marriott has no exit program for Harborside, we find this highly unlikely.

Likely a scam. Maybe @RX8 can shed some light when he reads this.

Missouri is a cesspool of deception. One Springfield attorney who practices timeshare law has had his license suspended. Another should be disbarred.

An honest attorney helps Harborside people by what he calls "attorney-assisted strategic default," at least honest enough to tell you that for $5,000 they will hold your hand during the process, but in 30 years of practice, no one has been pursued in the courts for maintenance fees - just collection agencies. I know what they say about dying and paying taxes, but highly unlikely. Wyndham did in Ontario Canada, Carriage Hills and Ridge. Owners organized, and they forced the sale of both resorts and got $ 3,000 to $ 4,000 back. That should raise a red flag right there.

Receiving a cold call about your timeshare is the first huge red flag. I can say that Timeshare Knowledge 101 has a website. That website is just nineteen days old, yes I said 19 days old. Didn’t take long from website set up to cold calling timeshare owners. A claim on their website says that they have helped thousands of timeshare owners. That is impossible with a 19 day old website but it may be possible that this Brian Miller, or maybe Bryan Miller, has personally helped thousands of timeshare owners before creating the website. A Google search however, does not reveal any Brian (Bryan) Miller conducting any sort of business or service about timeshares. Another huge red flag is that their website lists only a phone number (and it is a mobile number). There is no address of the company listed. Interestingly, only because the OP says the caller mentioned Marriott, a Brian Miller retired as President of Marriott Vacations back in 2025.

No surprise but this reeks of just another scam timeshare exit company.

Attached is the website creation date. The owner information has been hidden with the creation of the website so the exact people behind this website are unknown.
