has anyone had experience with Square One to legally get out of a timeshare?

I have never heard of them, but if they are charging upfront fees to “get you out of your timeshare”, I would run fast. There is lots of info here one TUG on how to sell, give away, or deed-back your timeshare.

Extracting money from timeshare owners is a lucrative business. It brings out scammers and others with maybe good intentions, all looking to make a quick buck.

Just google timeshare exit and see how many are competing to get that money. My opinion most don’t envision this as a long term business. They are going to collect upfront fees and aren’t going to get all of them out of heir timeshare. They will close shop at some point, my guess is that the lifespan is about 3 years or less.

Square One joined in only a few months ago - their website was created on October 18, 2018. One other thing to point out. When registering a domain one has the option to do so for multiple years. All scammer websites will register for only one year because they don’t expect to be around for long. Not saying Square One is a scammer but they also registered their domain name for just one year. I don’t think they know if they are going to be in this for the long term.

As Theiggy said, save your thousands of dollars and at least make an attempt to give away your timeshare. Even if you have to sweeten the offer by including a VISA gift card at closing you are still thousands of dollars ahead.

Lying about their BBB rating and accreditation. How can you trust any company that lies?

One BBB complaint is from someone who paid them $16,000!

What do you own? Why do you think the resort won't take it back? Is it paid off? There are so many companies with new names, all of them trying to take your money. Don't give them a chance. Give it away here on TUG or offer it on Craig's List. If you owe money on it, consider it a very expensive lesson and use it. Don't throw away good money after bad.

The corporation was established in 2005 by George and Louann Reed. Sometime around 2010 the principals of the corporation changed to just Louann. The most recent public document shows them at a home in Defiance, MO.

George Reed was convicted of one of the worst kinds of crimes.

Do you realize what will happen if you go to one of these events? They'll likely lure you in with a dinner that looks tempting but is usually subpar. Then they'll lecture you on all the evils of owning a TS and that the only way out is to pay them thousands of dollars but they'll compensate you by enrolling you in some travel club that appears to be wonderful but likely is not worth its weight in beans.

What are you hoping to accomplish? It has already been pointed out that someone related to this company is a felon (child porn). How can one trust them to borrow a dime let alone give them thousands with a promise to get you out of your timeshare?

Square one has scammed big money from seniors.
We are trying to find their presentation schedule in any state to alert the authorities and senior groups and venues.

We believe there is credit card fraud involved with the financing of these exit schemes.


If just 1, 85 yr old widow can be saved from handing over $1,000’s to these scammers we have accomplished a good deed.

The 2 lowest forms of life are child abusers and those who steal from old people.
For those that know about square one we are dealing with both.
