Timeshare Cancellation

Hi all,

On Thursday I submitted the Notice of Cancellation (signed) with a letter expressing my right to cancel. It was a Hilton timeshare, and the purchase was the day before. I have until Monday to cancel as that is the fifth day from my understanding, but my question comes from looking at the physical copy of the cancellation notice and the digital one they provided via usb stick. The addresses on where to send it to are different on each so do i need to send to both? Also is there anything I would need to return if they gave it to me as part of my stay ie small cheap laptop holder?

Thanks

congrats on finding TUG in time to rescind!

id probably just mail a copy to both but in reality you should be fine mailing to whichever one is listed on the sales contract you SIGNED!

chances are its only a few bucks extra to send a 2nd certified/proof letter to the other address just to cover your bases and avoid any potential mistakes!

BlueGreen filed cancellation on 5th day from sign-up in Nevada. I live in California.
I also just sent my cancelation within the 5 days of rescinding 7/31/24.

I'm still watching my credit accounts for a refund. It says in the contract that the company has up to 20 days to make the refund.

Mine is BlueGreen vacations that I signed up when I was in vegas. I'm a socal resident.

Anyone here has a past experience with Bluegreen cancelation in the past?

as long as you followed the directions within the time allowed you should have little to worry about!

I just sent in my rescind today from the upgrade purchase I did on Saturday. Does that mean my contract will go back to my original purchase? And if it does can someone tell me the process of cancelling that contract.

Yes. If you are past the recession period on the Original Contract there is no simple way out. Especially If you still owe money on the original Contract.

Yes, you go back to your original purchase.

Assuming your rescission letter is good, you don’t have to do anything. (The seller doesn’t record documents until the rescission period passes, so there is nothing to unwind if there is a rescission.)

Wanted to post an update! Very happy to report that I got my refunds to both credit cards that I used to pay for the Bluegreen timeshare.

The first sign was seeing the $49 new owner orientation refund after 8 days of them getting my rescission letter and then on the 11th day I got the refunds on my the $21950 I paid.

Proof that recision works. I just filled up the forms then sent it thru usps certified with return receipt $34 total spent.

You should consider still buying a timeshare. Hilton is a great product. Resales are very low in cost right now. There are lots of brokers selling Hilton, and there is always TUG Marketplace, Redweek and ebay.
