Hi I'm new and dont know if I'm posting under the right section. But this Ad is on Tugs (Timeshare Answer). Is this timeshare exit/ cancelation company legit?...since the ad is on TUGS website?

NEVER spend a dollar up front to any company who represents they can get you out of your timeshare.

Give it away here on TUG and it won't cost you a nickel.

Thank you for your advice. I cant give it away I owed 10500.00 on it still. I was just wondering why the ad is on tugs when so many here discourage about using exit companies.

You cant cancel a timeshare you owe 10k on without paying off the 10k. You're going to either have to pay it off and give it away or let it default and take the credit hit. What's worth more to you? 10k or your credit score? There's no getting out of it without repercussion because you agreed to pay it.

@Mel228 I think what you are seeing are Google ads and are in no way endorsed by TUG.

There are many horror stories of people paying big bucks upfront to exit companies only to be ripped off. Even if they are successful you end up paying thousands more than if you had given it away yourself. However, since you have a loan it makes it much more difficult.

what is the url of the ad? while we cant control what ads show up, we can block ones that arent allowed.

currently our block list is more than 1000 urls long...

I just searched all active ads for the world "timeshare" and none were similar to what is listed above "timeshare answer"

Unfortunately you’re on the hook for that. 10K. I doubt you’ll find a buyer unless of course you own a DVC in which case you can probably sell it for that amount. If not, not much else you can do but pay it off and get out of it or stop paying and take a huge hit on your credit.

Wow! You must keep constantly busy getting at all these URLs that pop up. It seems like playing Whack-a-Mole.

These upfront fee companies must feel that people who use TUG could benefit from these "services".

many of them come from members who email us when they spot an upfront fee company ad. others ill block as i see the ad myself when browsing.

thankfully now google lets you block the entire adsense account from being displayed, this makes it way easier to prohibit multiple ads all from the same company etc.

Curious to know where you own a timeshare, and how long you have owned it?

Thank you for explaining it to me. Now I understand.

The ads you see here are personalized, so if you spend time browsing the Internet anything about timeshares, those ads will follow you around the internet as many websites use adsense. I also see them on youtube.
