Hi. I attended a timeshare presentation at HGVC Kingsland last week. We were impressed and given that I hadn't done any homework on timeshares, went ahead and purchased a Gold Season/2BR/5800 clubpoints/Odd year for $17K.
They also gave me as additional 20,000 point sign-on bonus.

I now have second thoughts about this and I have a 10-day period where I can cancel this purchase and strongly considering it.

Is what I signed for considered very expensive in the resale market? I would probably take my time to research and buy resale if so.

Thanks.

The fact you are even having the slightest doubt is HUGE reason you should rescind immediately and at least do your research. You only have a short time to cancel before it is yours forever.

EOY for 17k, I can assure you that you can find a MUCH better deal on the resale market.

Welcome to TUG, you just saved 17k

Rescind now, do your research here first. You can always buy resale later, after you are sure what will fit your needs.

a Gold Season/2BR/5800 clubpoints/Odd year for $17K.

Just did a quick search on a reseller's site and found this type listed from $3,000 - $9,000. I'd imagine these would go for a lot less on Ebay.

By all means rescind!

That must be a phase 2 unit with only 5800 points. I purchased the same thing in phase 1 odd year for $17k and I get 8700 points.
