Where is John Chase these days? I see from looking at the user list that he has checked in lately, but only one post since mid January 2013? So many Apple and Microsoft threads go by without a peep.
He was here a couple of hours ago, but didn't post. He has been conspicuous by his absence. Maybe he has said all he cares to on his pet subjects. I wish him well, and hope he is (well).

John will see this thread, and so I am going to say a big thank you to him for recommending Lenovo over a Dell laptop. I am pleased to say this inexpensive Lenovo is nearing four years in age, and I still love it. I have had poor luck with Dell. This thing keeps on ticking. Knock on wood.

I have a 4 year old Lenovo too and love it still.
Lenovos are great. My hospital had all Lenovos.
They are definitely workhorses and take alot of abuse.
Funny, my wife has a Lenovo laptop and I a Lenovo desktop, and I have disliked them both for the last few years. The laptop because of the absolutely irritating reversal of the Function and Ctrl keys, and the desktop because of its defective memory card that randomly causes blue screens.
