Three Years in a Hilton...Lifetime Diamond Status

Haven’t stayed in a Hilton affiliated property since early 2000s. I was pretty loyal to them until they screwed over their points system and devalued it significantly. Burned my million or so points back then on mostly HHV in Waikiki. Million points sound like a lot but they went quick. Shifted my loyalty to Starwood and with Marriotts acquisition they counted all my lifetime stays and now I’m lifetime Titanium with Marriott Bonvoy which is awesome. Looking to buy a few HGVC resale properties at good prices while there’s a pause in ROFR. I like how HGVC has timeshares in NYC which Vistana or Hyatt doesn’t have

Wondering why you would move rooms every night? You get 8 night stay credit if you stay in the same room or move every night. I hate packing up and going to a new room unless absolutely necessary.

I get Diamond status by having the two Aspire cards. Actually wife and I each have two Aspire cards. Does that make each of us Double Diamond member and get Double the perks on every stay ?

Each move is consider a "stay" so it builds your status faster Right now for me to my next level I need 7 stays or 64 nights. So If I did what this guy does I'd reach the level in 7 nights (stays) compared to 64 nights. But you also have to switch to a different location not rooms in the same location.

Thanks for the info.

OP was moving rooms and saying helped them toward lifetime status. Only nights count toward lifetime status from my understanding. Not too knowledgeable on the lifetime status as I just carry Aspire card for Diamond status. Why move properties every night to earn Diamond status? I have a credit card that gets me annually a free night at any property, pays me $50 each year and bestows me Diamond status.

The time not lost by having to move properties and rooms every day.... priceless!

lol I am with you as I have the same card and honestly not interested in lifetime. My buddy has it and the best thing is a direct line no waiting to the Hilton honor desk. But to me not worthy I don't complain enough to need a direct line.
