We just returned from a one night stay at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas. We had the smaller 1BR unit which was very nice. We liked the layout a lot, and it seemed spacious, which may have been because we had a HA unit. I would have been sad if I'd picked the larger 1BR for the jetted tub since we saw that connected unit (doors weren't closed between us when we checked in) and the HA unit there had only a shower as well.

The unit was in great condition, very clean and very little wear and tear. We liked the decor and the kitchenette was small but very functional. We didn't spend much time there, but we could see staying even in the small side for a few days if we brought our 2 small kids with us another trip.

The pool was very nice and while we were there we enjoyed it mostly to ourselves. They need to work a bit harder to disguise the area behind the waterfall however, and I do think once the new tower is complete that will help things. The sandy area was nice as were the shallow areas for kids. There were tons of chairs and shade with umbrellas.

The staff was not overly helpful but thankfully we didn't need too much from them except our keys wouldn't work the first time they gave them to us which always bugs me!

We couldn't believe the steady stream of timeshare tour people coming in and out of the place on vans, in limos, in large groups, etc. The place was literally hopping with new prospects for Tahiti Village!

All in all we enjoyed this resort and the more family atmosphere it had. The restaurant, Tahiti Joe's, was very mediocre and we had horrible service there. We wouldn't eat there again even though it was convenient. We would highly recommend Rosemary's however - one of the best meals we have ever had in Vegas for only $22 at lunch for 3 courses.

Just returned

We just returned today from Tahiti Village. We had a Bora-Bora 1 bedroom which was very nice and adequate for the 4 of us. The unit's decor was very attractive. We didn't eat at Tahiti Joes, so I can't comment on that. The pool area was also very nice.
In my view here are the Pros and Cons...

Pros
Very nice pool
nice decor in units
Jacuzzi tub and steam shower
Nice TV in Master Bedroom
Location is convenient to the Outlet Mall, South end of strip, Car Rental Lot (it's right around the corner)

Cons
Bathroom didn't have a separate sink/dressing area from the toilet and shower/bath
TV in family room was smaller than MB TV
Pull out couch was only so so (it was OK for the kids)
Washer/Dryer combo unit (same unit washes and dries) doesn't dry very well. It kind of heat-steams the clothes. We had much faster results hanging clothes on chairs on the balcony
10:00 Check out a bit early?
Tons of tours being brought through the resort
Parking was not always available

I would probably stay here again although those wanting to be closer to the action may prefer another resort

I totally agree about the 10:00 a.m. check out, that is the earliest and I think 11:00 is more typical. They also required you to check out at the desk which seemed kind of out-dated to me since everywhere else we travel allows you to call in and/or do it by the tv remote.
