We just returned from a one night stay at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas. We had the smaller 1BR unit which was very nice. We liked the layout a lot, and it seemed spacious, which may have been because we had a HA unit. I would have been sad if I'd picked the larger 1BR for the jetted tub since we saw that connected unit (doors weren't closed between us when we checked in) and the HA unit there had only a shower as well.
The unit was in great condition, very clean and very little wear and tear. We liked the decor and the kitchenette was small but very functional. We didn't spend much time there, but we could see staying even in the small side for a few days if we brought our 2 small kids with us another trip.
The pool was very nice and while we were there we enjoyed it mostly to ourselves. They need to work a bit harder to disguise the area behind the waterfall however, and I do think once the new tower is complete that will help things. The sandy area was nice as were the shallow areas for kids. There were tons of chairs and shade with umbrellas.
The staff was not overly helpful but thankfully we didn't need too much from them except our keys wouldn't work the first time they gave them to us which always bugs me!
We couldn't believe the steady stream of timeshare tour people coming in and out of the place on vans, in limos, in large groups, etc. The place was literally hopping with new prospects for Tahiti Village!
All in all we enjoyed this resort and the more family atmosphere it had. The restaurant, Tahiti Joe's, was very mediocre and we had horrible service there. We wouldn't eat there again even though it was convenient. We would highly recommend Rosemary's however - one of the best meals we have ever had in Vegas for only $22 at lunch for 3 courses.
