There is/was a site AddictedToCostco.com that also promoted lots of things from the warehouse. There was a whole section that talked about new warehouses planned, under construction, opening and such. The site owner became very ill, and the site wasn’t updated for a long time. I don’t know the current status.

There is a guy (I assume a guy, maybe its not) in the Toronto area who has a Facebook page for weekly Costco sale and clearance items. He goes to his local Costco every Monday and photographs all the sale and clearance items with the price tag showing. A lot of people chime in to say a certain article is either sold out or there are pallets of it at a certain location in the Greater Toronto Area. It is quite handy and I've discovered and purchased quite a few items I never would have found out about.

We also have a liquidation center in the town near our home (Orillia) that has many discontinued Kirkland items. Everything from clothes to (non-perishable) food to household items. Our DD just bought 2 small decorative bowls (for dip or salsa) for $1.50 Cndn each that were in Costco before Christmas for $19.97 for a set of 4. She also bought a pair of Birkenstock sandals there for $50. Cndn that were well over $100. in the store.

Those types of stores buy the returned Costco items that can’t be returned to the vendor. It gets charged off or credited, and the warehouse disposes of it. You can find some great things there. Note that anything with a serial number has it removed or scratched out, so the bargain shopper can’t buy it there and try to return it to Costco. Your shopping history in Costco’s computer is protecting you.

Yes, the Liquidation center has many signs around that clearly state no returns or refunds on any of their items either at the liquidation center or at Costco. Our favorite purchase from there were 2 Tommy Bahama Beach chairs that have cup holders and a small zippered pouch. They were $10. each!
