We have never gone into RCMH - perhaps because I grew up on Long Island and figured it was for tourists .
Perhaps after 40+ years of visiting NYC / we should go see the Rockettes.

Thanks Richard - it is an interesting article that makes perfect sense based on the “vaudeville “
legacy .

Another vote to go see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas show. I grew up on LI and went to RCMH as a kid once or twice though the memories are very vague. I moved to Pittsburgh when I went to college and have lived there ever since 30+ years.

We still have family in the NYC metro area and a couple of years ago my father took us including my early teenage daughter to the Christmas show. It was a truly wonderful event. My daughter has also been to a broadway show and other NYC attractions. The Rockettes and RCMH is still one of her favorites if not her overall favorite.

This is now on my bucket list of things to do. Thanks Richard, for sharing this article.

A few years back I worked across the street from Radio City. One cold day in November they were showing off for the Today Show. Read the article. BTW when I would walk out on 51st where the back stage garage door is for the RCMH they keep camels on the street in a trailer for the show this time of the year.
