The Royal Sands VCI (2016)

We are going to be travelling there next week, but I have a few questions:

1. Are there plenty of palypas or should I bring a beach umbrella
2. Do they supply beach towels
3. Is there a laundramat on site
4. We plan on going to the local grocery store which is closer and do you have any idea how much the taxi ride is to get there
5. What restaurants do you recomment

Which resort are you staying at? VCI or the Royal Sands? There will be palapa so and towels. There is a laundry.
 
Closest grocery is to the east, the new Chedraui at the elbow. Very nice store. Even their restaurant gets #8 on TA. For being in the hotel zone, you are also close to the city of Cancun to the west. More Chedraui stores there, Mega, Walmart, markets etc. A little further. The bus to the east, very easy and cheap. Chedraui is at the Convention Center. Taxi would not be expensive, guessing $10-ish (US). The newer Italian restaurant in the resort is very good. Have a great trip. BTW, the public park across the street on the lagoon is a nice stroll. We bus up there just for that (and maybe a cocktail at VCI :).
