Made it to the pool bar in time for a mai tai and cheeseburger. It's a tradition for us on the day of arrival.
We also know P@P as our home away from home. Goes back to our first visit to Kauai'i, when were sold on timesharing. We learned about the resale market, and investigated Kauai Beach Villas, Lawai Beach Club, and Point at Poipu. We loved Point at Poipu because it felt more like a home than a resort. Logically, because the original site planning was for the property to be residential instead of resort.
It's not fancy but it just feels homey to us. Our reaction at the time was that this was a place we could see coming back to regularly, and having multi-generation family vacations there. Which is exactly how it has played out. When family joins us, we have two units close to each other, and we just flow into the two units. We take most of our meals together as a family, divvying up food preparation.
