I am planning a trip to Vegas. I am an owner with Wyndham but looking at RCI for last minute cash deals. I have been to the Grandview at Las Vegas several times. It's an okay location but wondering if The Cliffs at Peace Canyon is any nicer? I am not looking to use the pool or anything like that. Just looking for a decent place to relax in the room and maybe get a little remote work down. I appreciate your opinions. TIA

Peace Canyon is nice. It’s more like a small apartment complex with just two floors in the buildings. It’s near Summerlin and not far from Red Rock casino. You don’t have to contend with all the stuff on the strip. You’ll be living like a Vegas local.

My family loves The Cliffs at Peace Canyon. Nice neighborhood feel, no drama. It's close to anything you would want. It's not pretentious at all.....if you want luxury, it's not the place, but if you are looking for comfort, I think you would enjoy it. We really enjoy a breakfast restaurant not far from there. It's called Eggworks. 9355 West Flamingo Road.

Having stayed at both - there was something charming about The Cliffs -- and I like the Red Rocks area. Definitely need a car there. I've stayed at Grandview without a car. Entertained myself with Casino and movie theater across the street. Something about units there left me disappointed.

Grand Desert is night and day vs the Grandview. Wyndham takes pretty good care of that property. Been to the Grandview five times. Pools are nice but the actual rooms are becoming ran down. Was there about a month ago and kitchen was missing several items, wifi was mostly unusable, and cleaning was not great. For example had the bag of dirty sheets/towels outside my room for two days from the last cleaning. Had to call the front desk to finally get someone to come get it. Inside the unit cleaning was no the what you would expect. It's not a bad place to stay but being a Wyndham owner and having also stayed at the Grand Desert about the same amount of times I would pick that place. Used up all my points for the year and of course the Vacation Village properties are cheaper on RCI.

One thing I like about the Grandview more is that each building is separate and can park closer. I don't like crowds and with the separation I do enjoy that more. Also keep in mind at the Grandview if it don't get two bedrooms you are sharing a common door with your neighbor. Each unit has a A and B side. You walk up to the door let's say 16200. Open that door and there is a little lobby and then you have 16200A and 16200B. Open whatever door is yours. Now if you get a two bedroom unit you get both A and B. Double kitchen, living rooms, bathrooms, etc. Both sides match each other. If you have both sides you can leave the doors open and just leave the main door shut. Of course you may want to close the A and B door at night so you can latch it also for additional security. If you only have the one side and have a loud neighbor hearing them up and close the door. Them being drunk in that little lobby is not fun. Had one person leave all their trash and stuff there. I learned to also get both sides even if I am traveling by myself. RCI it's usually less then $100 to get the second part on the last minute deals.
