Chennoceau was wonderful .

Agreed. I have been to four of the seven so far. Chenonceau is my overall favourite. It has the most wonderful approach and surrounding gardens, plus the chateau itself is spectacular, built out over the river. I also really enjoyed the history and artifacts concerning Leonardo da Vinci, including the recreations of some of his inventions, that were on display at the Château du Clos Lucé where he spent the last years of his life, next to the Château d'Amboise as a guest of François I.

The Loire Valley is an amazing place. You could easily spend weeks there.

I concur. Although, we only had 2N (3 days).
We had a bit of a struggle in finding the right highway out of Paris...
and then we had to return the rental and catch a train to Nice.
