Hey...just wanted to give thanks to this Board for the VAST number of incredibly informative posts I have been fortunate enough to read here over the past few weeks as part of my preparation in getting ready for a recent timeshare presentation.
Though I concluded shortly after agreeing to the package which included a mandatory timeshare presentation that timeshares just weren't right for me, I still wanted to be informed going in and also prepare myself for the possibility that the two-hour presentation I had agreed to might become high-pressure and unpleasant and go on for much longer than that.
Well, it did go on for two and HALF hours, and while it was certainly what I would call a purposeful sales effort, it was by no means awful. On balance, both the primary and secondary salespeople were quite polite, and only the third "closer" salesperson was anything but completely cordial. I know at one point I was being deliberately misled as to some pertinent information (which I learned about by scanning the forums here!) but rather than call the salesperson out on it I just nodded and affirmed yet again that my answer was still "no".
What a valuable service this Board provides....both for persons interested in timeshares, and for someone like me, who ultimately really isn't. So, thanks again, and all my best wishes!!
