I'm helping a senior couple plan a timeshare vacation in March 2009. They are passionate about playing tennis everyday. They have won many tournaments.

I see some availability at the Ft. Lauderdale Vacation Village properties at Bonaventure, Weston, and Mizner Place. Can anyone offer advice about which of these resorts would be closest to tennis courts?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Wyndham Sea Gardens/Ocean Palms Resort in Pompano Beach has tennis courts. If they are guests at ANY of the other Wyndham resorts in the area (Palm Aire, Royal Vista, or Santa Barbara), they can USE these courts and park on the resort properties with that Wyndham hangtag and Wyndham activity card.:)

Just a suggestion,

Are the tennis courts at Sea Gardens usable now? I could be mistaken but I thought I heard that there was hurricane damage and guests had to go somewhere else several blocks away (where?) to play tennis.

I've seen this place right out the balcony of my stay at vacation village weston.

They have excellent tennis courts right next to Vacation Village at Weston.

The tennis at Westin Vacation Village is great! There are about 11 tennis courts- all of them lighted at night. There are drills led by pros and round robins on various days. We've been there twice and will go again in March. Maybe we'll run into them there.

I agree, it's a very nice facility.

I was there in November 2006 and enjoyed the drills. Unfortunately, that was the only tennis I got in as I was there without a partner and leaving my name with the pro shop turned up no other playing opportunities. I imagine March should be much better.

It didn't look very good the last time I was in the area (2 years ago) - I ended up playing quite a bit at the C.B. Smith courts in Pembrooke Pines.

I'm hoping for more of the same when I'm in the area at Ocean Palms November 21-28.
