Someone may have written about this recently, I've just had a call from someone - I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the company, not that they introduced themselves by it until asked - she just used her first name.
Asked if I wanted to sell or rent my t/s if it was a good offer. In order not to profile any specific entity, she had an accent from the country where lots of customer service & technical have been outsourced to, she then transferred me to another woman with a similar accent. When I asked them to put what they were saying in writing to me by means of an e-mail, they hung up. They do charge an upfront fee and wanted to proceed there and then.

Shirley, you've been around long enuff to recognize this far too typical scam.
They'll take your money and promptly forget that they promised anything. If
you're lucky, every few months, they'll say, "So sorry. Would you like to extend?"

I never get these calls - I have caller ID and call screening!

Without the name of the company it's hard to comment, but sounds like a PCC to me. Since you responded to their call, you may be hearing from them again....

You're right - we did hear from them again twice - most recently this morning. Phone number is 786-347-6129 which showed on the caller id but also "unknown name" and same accent from the caller.
I never answer when it shows no phone # , but I also receive business calls on my home office phone and not everyone has their own phone programed correctly so I'm never sure whether it's business or rubbish.
Guess when in doubt, let it go to voice mail - only got myself to blame for answering.
Hope your hand is o.k.
