Tahoe ski conditions this month?

Anyone out there recently? We're going in two weeks, trying to figure out if conditions are likely to be better at Heavenly or Squaw/Northstar... I'm about to switch locations to Ridge Tahoe since I may not be able to join the family and they'll need decent mountain access without their chauffeur. But if the conditions look bad, then they'll want to stay north if Squaw is better....

I only have until tonight to decide... help....


eta: yes I've looked at the mountain reports, but the resorts all lie lie lie
 
Spring conditions prevail

Last weekend was spring-like. Very soft after lunch. The weather remains very warm, so unless it cools down and snows, expect more of the same. It won't differ significantly from resort to resort.
 
Since it is likely to be very springish conditions, I'd stick with Heavenly since it has more mountains with different exposures to the sun so you can pick which one you like best. Right now it is in the low 80's in the Sacramento area just 90 miles from Squaw Valley. Expect ice in the morning, turning to slush, then back to ice in the shadows in the afternoon. Although last I heard, there is a chance of a storm early next week and that could help the condtions, but probably just for a day or two. Make sure to bring everything for sun exposure. There are always some crispy critters coming off the hill this time of year (including myself).

Marty, we may be spending Easter in Granite Bay. Family is in Auburn and Granite Bay, last time the big Easter family party was in Granite Bay. Nice town!!
 
Avery, welcome back to south Placer county in advance. Although the weather has not been ideal for skiing, it's almost perfect for everything else. Hope you have a great time!!!
