I have an interval 1 bedroom certificate at Tahoe Ridge this weekend for a Ski Trip. I called the resort, and they I could be at any of several of buildings on their property. They also mentioned they are only 40% full so usually they can accommodate any requests at check in.

The person I spoke to said they would most recommend I request the Plaza building as it was just renovated last fall and is closer to the slopes. From checking google maps it seems it's a 3-5 minute walk to their mini-gondola, and there are a few buildings that are closer to the amenities/slopes.

Should I request the Plaza, or is there different building people would recommend?

I have stayed there many years. I love 2 bedroom naegle bldg 11 . Older but right by gondola. I have a week for sale in march if interested
Not fancy but quaint.

The is an oldear post but if you have not decided yet I can help. I own in the Plaza building and stay there. The resort is on a steep hill and the Plaza is about the middle. The lowest building is Cascade and the highest up the hill are the Naegle and Tower buidlings. The club house and gondola is also up near the top of the hill. You will NOT walk up that hill with your equipment…. you might not even walk up the hill without it LOL. Do not fret, because there is a shuttle service that runs through the resort, but more importantly goes up/down from StageCoach lodge. The stops are right outside each building. Even if at the top, you probably won’t take the gondola to the lodge. It was replaced a few years ago and the new one stops up a hill with loads of steps up/down to the lodge. The shuttle is actually easier.

I always thought the plaza was the best because it had 4 jacuzzis. 2 inside, 2 outside. However the last 2 years only 1 was working. If you rent equipment, right across the street from the Plaza building is the Terrace building which has a really nice rental ski shop.

Yeah we ended asking for Plaza. The remodel was actually very nicely done, pretty high quality furnishings. They didn't touch the kitchen or bathrooms so they look slightly dated compared to the rest of the unit but not bad. The views over the valley in the Plaza are also stunning if you are on the far side of the building.

We actually spent one night in another building (I think terrace?). The theming was a bit more lodgy-fun and consistent, but preferred the modern plaza.

Agreed about the skier express. It's slow, and the steps are annoying.
