Just got a second notice on my computer about the flight we are taking to Orlando from San Jose being switched for the second time. Is this common.
The flight isn't until the middle of June and goes from San Jose to Dallas first.
The times have only changed by small amounts but it is starting to drive me nuts.

Which airline? We had that problem with Delta on a recent trip from St. Louis to Washington, DC. Change twice on us. Once was while we were there. But we lucked out on that one, when I saw it, we called and were able to get a Saturday Flight instead on the later Sunday Flight that they switched us to. That allowed us to miss a snow storm.

AA did a mean thing to us Feb 2005. Los Angeles to Antigua we had confirmed reservations with one plane change for about 9 months (ff miles). Got changed to two planes changes and added 4 hrs in waiting. Coming home same thing. :(

AA just changed reservations we had made for my daughter and her friends from Newark to Los Cabos. They had them leaving two hours earlier and a longer layover in Dallas. I called them and told them the flights I wanted to be on and they accomodated us even though those flights were much more expensive. I think it depends on your tone and the luck you have in getting to a nice reservationist. I always call if I don't like what they have done. These days, you have to repeatedly check your reservations. they constantly change and the airlines are not great about informing you of the changes.

I am going through the SAME thing right now!!! I got a great rate on Delta to go to Nassau,Bahamas in May...$209 per person, on a 70 passenger plane (which freaked me out a bit to begin with). Well, this morning I decide to look at the flight schedules and guess what??? MY FLIGHTS ARE GONE!!! The only direct flight going out gets me to Nassau at 3:00, when I was getting there at 11am originally. And THERE ARE NO DIRECT FLIGHTS COMING HOME!!! It would take me over 7 hours to get home...that is NOT an option with a 4 year old and an almost 1 year old!!!!!!

Luckily, I was able to cancel the tickets NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I booked on JetBlue for only $239...great price considering we will be on the airline we love, with TVs and better yet, IT'S A FULL SIZE PLANE!!! And we get to fly with my parents. So in the end, it worked out.

What I find disturbing, is that I wasn't even notified of any changes to my itinerary. Supposedly the flights just changed yesterday, but who knows if that's the truth...

AA has changed things on our flights from Newark to Seattle twice in the past 2 weeks. It is especially important to check regularly, since I noticed we lost our seat assignments on the return flight. Immediately called them to have them re-instated. Normally would have done it online, but, it is an Alaska air flight in a code share.
