Hey All - Hope your collective weekends went well...

Anyone visited Swan Mountain this past ski season? Done a TUG/BBS search, Googled, etc. already to little avail.

I was trying to get more info on their 'Duplex' which is supposed to be 4+ bedrooms. It sounds like the resort is quite old, which makes me think the duplex is the oldest building.

Thanks in advance

We have not stayed at Swan Mountain but did visit it the week after Christmas just to check it out. Did look at the indoor pool.

The resort is small and resembles a group of condo buildings. I can't speak for the rooms but the indoor pool area was clean and decent. We stay at Valdoro in Breckenridge and Swan Mountain certainly does not approach the level of finish of Valdoro. Having said that, it seemed clean and decent. Closest to Keystone which I would say is about a 5-10 minute drive. Other condo developments around it but nothing else is within walking distance.

I hope this helps some and hopefully someone else will respond that has actually stayed there.

We have owned at Swan Mountain since 1983 (week 51, 2 BR), and have been and still are very happy with our purchase.
The units have always been kept in great condition, furniture / decor very nice.
When our kids were growing up it was always a great pre-Xmas week of skiing all over Summit County with as many folks as could be there.
Prior to 1994, we used most years - since then:
- 1994 exchanged to Austria
- 1995 used
- 1996 exchanged to Italy
- 1997 and 1998 used
- 1999 exchanged to Mexico
- 2000 exchanged to England
- 2001 used in summer of 2003 when we were building up here
- 2002 onwards, switched to points......great trades....
Now of course we live up here year round and I can actually see the roofs of the resort as I type this......
We use the resort on a regular basis
- our granddaughters swam there three days last week, and our family swim or use both jacuzzis (indoor and outdoor)
- we play tennis there occasionally
- it is always nice to go in and chat to Dyane and her team...we have even been to the weekly parties!!!
The resort has been newly painted and the grounds are always in tip-top condition....the coffee machine and cookie jar is always there...all the staff very helpful.
Nearby is the Cala Inn - a real pub where we go Monday lunch for bangers and mash, and Fridays for fish and chips.
Swan Mountain is ideally situated for Keystone (the free Summit Stage stops nearby), and A-Basin is a few minutes further up the road.
Breckenridge is within easy reach too....curiously we have not (yet?) skiied there this year - we love Keystone too much (yesterday was my 51st day there), and last Saturday morning was the most perfect skiing we had all year as we'd had 8" in the previous 48 hrs.....
That's it for today.....yippee it's starting to snow again

Thanks nkosi - what great help! Even though I am REALLY jealous you are still skiing!

Have you ever been in the duplex?
