Looks like you've been trying to get out of this for 10 years.
You actually own nothing in Mexico. It is a membership system -- as long as you pay you continue to be a member.
Stop paying and simply walk away -- you'll be done. They may try to go after you but pay no attention to the guy behind the Mexican curtain.

What details about the membership can you share? When was it purchase and how many years remaining? Total number of nights or weeks purchased? Annual use or every 2nd year? Studio, one bedroom or two? Any annual bonus weeks? Has it recently had a 5 year renewal paid?

Purchased 7/27/2003 with contract termination date of 6/24/2031. However there is an addendum that they swiftly have you read, my bad, that says "We understand and Acknowledge that the use of our vacation unit at all existing and future Sunset Resorts will have a PERPETUAL years use period.
It's one week annual with the option of an additional week. The description is Unit: Two Bedrooms Suite (1+1), Season: Gold, Type: Annual. And yes we've pad a few 5 year renewals over the past 22+ years. We like many others threw good money to exit companies that do nothing more than take your money.
I filed a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General State of Florida, they said to contact Profeco, the federal Mexican consumer protection agency. Crickets from that agency.
