So we were brave enough to give this resale thing another shot! When we saw an advertisement for another 3BR lock out resale at Presidential Villas at Plantation Resort we did our homework and called the resort this time to verify the unit layout (live and learn). Then we contacted the seller (SumDay Vacations) with an offer equal to the amount we had bid a few months ago for what we thought was going to be a similar deed. SumDay accepted our offer and so far things are going well. We told them our story about the nightmare with CJ timeshares and so far the seller (Dennis) and the title manager (Sherry) have handled us with kid gloves. Very responsive and helpful in answering our questions. Has anyone worked with these guys before?

Although the unit number on a float week doesn't matter, this one is better than the first one (at least I think 27 is better than 34?) I suppose that might matter if we decided to convert to points one day? Also - for the same price, we might even get free 2013 usage depending on how quickly the closing goes. That would be a great bonus, but I'll certainly be content if we simply end up getting the unit that was advertised!

In any event - I will report back as we continue to work with the seller. Is there a section somewhere on TUG to post reviews on sellers? I didn't see one and therefore started a thread here as I have learned the hard way just how important it is to find out as much as you can about both the property and seller when you make a resale purchase!

I used them too. No problems.

I'm closing a resale with them at the moment. So far so good. Jeff Brown has also been responsive to PMs sent when I had questions, and provided his email address to me even though he wasn't my main contact for the resale purchase. They seem good to work with :)

Terrific - I am relieved to hear this. Thanks again to all the fellow TUG members who helped us learn the ropes the first time!

I just finished reading your CJ purchase string and I am sorry that it happened to you. But, my company makes mistakes also....we try not to but it does happen, if it does we will correct them as quickly as possible. If, for any reason, your not satisfied with how things are going you don't need to place it in the forums here, you can always email me directly and it will be solved without anxiety.

That being said. I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase.

Thank you. We are reasonable people and this is all we ask for!

I just bought from them as well, (more Wyndham points) keeping my fingers crossed that all will go well......

I got my deed yesterday..all looks great. Sumday has been very prompt and pleasant in answering any questions I had. I'm very pleased with them :)
Now to wait for the points to actually show up in my account....I wish Wyndam moved as quickly as Sumday has!

I just checked online and it looks like the County has recorded our deed. How long after the deed's been recorded does Sumday send Wyndham the "package" to set up the account?

I know its a long shot but we already have a Dec trip to Orlando planned and it'd be amazing to be able to use these points for this trip, assuming my account is set up early enough to grab any availability that's left.

Under buying, selling, and renting there is a sub-forum for rating timeshare related businesses.

When your transaction is complete you should leave the pros and cons there.

They probably want to receive the original from the county prior to sending the transfer package. Maybe a week. Then however long it takes Wyndham to do the transfer.

Here's my update.

April 8th -- Paid Sumday for Wyndham points
April 22nd --Deed showed up as recorded on County Recorder's website
April 29th --Received original deed in the mail, with cover letter from Sumday stating that the deed info was sent to Wyndham's title dept for transfer.

Estimating it will take 2 weeks for Wyndham to even acknowledge the paperwork got there.

If everything on the deed is correct/to Wyndham's liking, from that point add 8 weeks I would be really happy if my account is set up by July 5th or so.

Great experience so far. :D

Meant to post an update sooner. Received copy of deed from Sherry on Monday. Very prompt and only took as long as it did because I asked to proof it before it was finalized (which Sherry had no problem doing). She was extremely patient with me and answered all my newbie questions as a resale purchaser. Just waiting now for the final processing work. So far I'm very happy with this company.

I'm glad to hear its going well for you so far. We've purchased several weeks from them including our wyndham points at Glacier Canyon and have had a positive experience with each transaction.

Took Wyndham 4 weeks to acknowledge my deed into their system. And then, 6+ weeks to transfer it.

For the record, I'd love for our transaction to clear the county records quickly since we have to wait to reserve 2013 usage, but I will be very happy as long I eventually get the unit that was advertised! After my first experience, the bar was set pretty low :)

Have two weeks near the end of closing, so far so good. Sherry's response is very clear and prompt.

Done...One week already showed up in my Marriott account and second is waiting for the owner info update. The best experience of purchase I got from an eBay reseller.

Gary, eBay timesharepro1 is pretty good, too...

Have purchased 2+ weeks from Sumday Vacations and they did wonderful jobs for me.
Closing was fast and they responded fast.

Memorial Weekend Sale

I am embarrassed to say I have probably purchased about 15 from Sumday, and never a problem. They are faster, nicer, and more communicative than any other seller.

Hi Jeff!

Hi Jeff!

Now Cindy, that is absolutely nothing to be embarassed about, in fact we don't even have you on the addicted list of buyer's yet. In all seriousness, we appreciate you.
