We recently received this email regarding our Sudwala weeks. Did anyone else get one? Looks a little fishy to us.

Dear Sudwala Shareholder

We trust that you are well.

As you are aware, we have given the option to our shareholders to cancel their timeshares at Sudwala.

However, to complete this process, we require some personal information.

Kindly send us your Identification number (example, drivers license) and your full date of birth in order for us to complete this process.

Once this information is received, we can finalise the cancellation of the Sudwala timeshare.

Thank you for your co-operation and understanding in this matter.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

The VRS Team

A couple of things you may want to do to protect yourself:

1). Click reply to the email and see exactly what the return email address is. Do you recognize it at all?

2). Call the Resort directly and make an inquiry as to what their disposition plans are and are they providing an incentive to be released from ownership.

Stay away from providing any personal information if you're not getting a good feeling for it. And to be honest, they really should already have that information on file.
