Has anyone had a child (hight school) study/live in Cost Rica through an exchange company? I am looking for a study/live with a family type of group and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with any company...good or bad.
thanks

I don't know if they work with Costa Rica but I can strongly recommend Student American International as a good exchange organization. They are fairly small, and thus I believe have more oversight and involvement in picking kids and families than some of the big ones do.

Last summer I sent my 15 year old daughter to Costa Rica for a 2 week Spanish immersion program. The organization was the Institute for Spanish Lanuage Studies (www.isls.com). This organization has a teen summer program. You stay with a host family for each week. She enjoyed the program and learned a lot of Spanish.
