We are staying in a 'studio plus' @ Valdoro Mountain Lodge the middle two weeks in September. Can anyone tell me the difference between a :
Studio
Studio Plus
One Bedroom?
Thanks

At Valdoro, all of the studios are in the "Studio Plus" category. They are quite small, but well equipped (no washer/dryer, however). They have Murphy bed (not the most comfortable, IMO), and a pull-out sofa bed. But here is the catch -- you can't have both the bed and the sofa bed out at the same time, as there is not enough room! I have yet to figure out why they put in the sofa bed -- probably because that is the same sofa they use in all of the units.

The 1BR has a separate bedroom w/ its own TV, closet, etc. and includes a washer / dryer in the unit. In some of the 1BR units, the bedroom can be quite small (basically just enough room to walk around the bed), but they have king beds and are very comfortable.

You can see the floor plans plus other information about Valdoro at this link. I'm sure you will have a great time, as it is a fantastic property. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We stayed in a studio plus at Valdoro in April of 2007 and for some reason the room was very stuffy (at the back of the building). And there is no a/c at Valdoro. We had 2 reservations and moved to a 3br once the rest of our party arrived and the unit was much cooler (and at the front of the building).

The small studios in Valdoro can get quite stuffy and warm. During a warmer time, the pilot light of the fireplace can actually heat up the room to the point where it is too warm (been there, done that). You can ask the staff to completely shut off the fireplace and it is better.
