Stuck At Home Due to Coronavirus? Check Out the Top 10 Navy Movies Ever Made.

I find I'm here more than usual. I just left ebay where I ended up buying a nice full set of Wolfman waterproof motorcycle luggage for Big Ugly. Soon I will be buying Jeep stuff. Then boat stuff. Maybe another timeshare, lol.

I haven't seen "The Admiral" yet so maybe later if I can find it on Netflix or Amazon.

Great idea, Richard! Thanks for posting. Then there are all the great war movies, such as "Private Ryan", "Dunkirk", "The Longest Day", "Paths of Glory", "The Great Escape", "Twelve O'Clock High", "Bridge over the River Kwai", "Zulu" and even "GWTW" and "Dr. Strangelove". And after we have had our fill of war-related movies, we can start exploring all the great comedies, if we get too depressed by what is happening around us these days. And of course, binge-watching a half-century of "James Bond" films. The lists go on and on. :ponder:

All of the others are good suggestions, but I stopped at 10 to match Richard's 10 navy movies. Also I do come at it from the perspective of a Canadian air force brat whose father served as an RCAF officer from 1934 to 1962. So I tend to have a soft spot for those movies that might have a bit more of a Canadian, British, or air force connection, ideally all three. "Midway", "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "Das Boot" are stories primarily concerning US engagements. No offence, I like them, too...just not at the top of my list of favourite war films.

No matter what I am doing, no matter what I was watching, no matter the time of day, if I hear that song, I will watch.

Humorous or pathetic (take your choice: A, B, or A & B), per link in Drudge Report, as people are self-quarantining, web-cam girls are seeing huge upticks .

Or, for a combination of adventure and romance, how about the The African Queen, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Last Crusade?

Great Idea. I'm getting tired as Hell of non-stop Coronavirus! And to add insult to injury it's Pledge Week at our PBS stations (all 5 of 'em!) I'd go crazy (a short trip) but tonight is the last of it! YAAAAY!

There are five PBS stations in Twin???? I figure I'm lucky if I can pull one decently on the radio as I'm on the interstate between Mountain Home and Jerome.

Being quite prejudice, I enjoy all military movies. Even the cheeky ones. Was surfing a day or two ago and run up on “Top Gun” again! The all time best movie sound score ever in my opinion! Was Tom Cruise really ever that young? While I love Midway and Tora, Tora, Tora, one of my other all time favorites is ”We Were Soldiers”. Geez I am getting old.
