Struggling with HGVC exchange to RCI

I had to hurry and book some trips by the end of the year. I got two booked + a cruise and have 80 HGVC points left over. Whew! Then I get a letter in today's mail saying I have to use 2600 RCI points or lose them! I called the number listed, but they couldn't help me. Transferred me to RCI and he said he couldn't help me. Call back on a weekday.

What can I quickly do with 2600 HGVC club points that I put into RCI? One fellow told me I had to use them before end of 2015. Another person told me I could use them to book a cruise that sails in 20016. When they connected me to the supposed RCI cruise person, I was told they could not help me.

I'm terribly frustrated. Any suggestions? I can't roll over the points because they're max'd out as far as rollovers go. I would like something in Palm Springs, or Big Bear.
