So I posed a question a few weeks back about extending a week. My travel requirements for August 28th has been reduced a little now so I can get away with a 2BR at either Ko Olina or Waiohai. Our preference is Ko Olina at this point due to the party traveling.
So I have a previously deposited Ko Olina studio. I am doing hourly searches for a Ko Olina 2BR or Waiohai (I know. Not within the 59 yet, but just getting an idea of how often these villas come up).
This studio expires in November of this year.
Here is the methodology:
IF a Waiohai comes up I am going to snag it with this studio. I will then wait as long as possible and cancel my KBC reservation and get a replacement week for the 1BR Ko Olina I used to secure. However, If a Ko Olina comes up after Waiohai I will snag with this replacement week (assuming it can pull) and then of course cancel my waiohai.
I have been told you can not extend a replacement week. So would that replacement week I would get for my waiohai cancellation return to its orginal November expiration? What if I spend the $$ to extend first and then book Waiohai and cancel in the future should Ko Olina come available. Would the expiration date then be one year or would I lose that extension I did and the expiration return to the orginal November of this year?
Clear as mud?
