Still no ROFR

Snagged a Shadow Ridge Platinum for myself and another for a friend - $6125! each!!

Now I have two SHadow Ridge Platinum units - I can trade the Developer one for points yearly and use the other.

For us, a perfect world.

Can they go lower????

Congratulations! Were they Ebay and is it through one of the recognized brokers/closing companies?

I just did almost the same thing but went for a silver ($1,500), also to have more options to trade our Platinum for points . However, if I'd had an idea the platinums were down that low I think I might have sprung for one. Bittersweet for us direct buyers though!

I have a better chance of making money on the resale someday than on the developer unit LOL - not that I consider these investments of any kind. But I am guessing that resale prices will eventually rise.

The buyer emailed me from a post I made. He also had a unit on ebay.
I negotiated off the reserve price. Win Win.

Every other broker (including Seth Nock) wanted at least 7k.

I am really happy. We love Palm Deset (Shadow Ridge - I personally do not like DSV) and go every March.

Funny, when I decided to get this second unit, my Marriott salesperson (who I called to check on prices) advised against it (surprise)- said Marriott was exercising ROFR (clueless) and that I should wait for "special" deals coming up. I doubt anything will be more special than the price I got. LOL
 
So- which week do you think you will enjoy more? Only kidding- congrats on a great buy!
 
Congrats on your purchase. It's great when you get something at a good price that you can use and enjoy. What is the current developer pricing there? Must make you feel warm and enjoy the vacations that little bit more knowing that you got a good price.

Wow Pacheco, that is a great deal. Congratulations on a sweet deal at a fabulous resort. We are at SR right now and the weather is fantastic! When we bought our SR silver from Marriott almost 7 years ago for 11K, of course we never would have dreamed you could get a platinum for under 7K! But...those were my pre-TUG days when we didn't know ANYTHING about t/s, and certainly not anything about resale.

I'm really happy for you and hope you have many years of enjoyment at a great resort!
